How do I set up the MDaemon Connector client plug-in for Outlook Users?

The article below details how to setup and configure the MDaemon Connector plug-in in various versions of Outlook.

When the ability to connect to MDaemon using the MDaemon Connector has been granted to the account, login to Webmail, click on the gear icon (options) in the top right of the window, and click MDaemon Connector, the option to download the 32-bit or 64-bit installer that corresponds with your version of Microsoft Office will be available.

Verify that Outlook is not running and run the installer to finish the plug-in installation.

Depending on the version of Outlook, follow the steps below to configure the MDaemon Connector account.

Additional Comments

If you are planning to import data from a PST file, make sure to run scanpst.exe on the file first and compact the folders to help prevent corrupted messages from being imported into the OC profile.  Scanpst is located under C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033 and comes with Outlook.  Note that multiple passes with scanpst may be needed.

The incoming and outgoing server can or may be the same information you use to connect to Webmail.
